Helping you find the best bits for babe at the cheapest preices-
July 13th, 2009UncategorizedI for one am astounded that these D&G babies vests are in the sale over at ASOS. To think that no-one snapped them up at the meagre price of £45.50 for two.
The creative minds over at D&G’s must have really been putting in the over time to come up with the design!

Bumbo is a kind of key word that mums just know, and you can’t think of a time when it wasn’t in your vocabulary, exactly the same as how you can now spot a pushchair make from about 200 yards!
I found this seat massively useful, scrumpy didn’t take to it straight away infact there was a screaming session in John Lewis as soon as his rear touched the foam. He did warm to it, and will now quite happily watch the tv perched in it on the sofa like a grown up and he also had his first taste of food and many more since while being wedged in it. Mind you I know of a fair few babies who just don’t click with the chair, it is definitely worth sneaking into a department store and plonking your little-un in one, but remember babes change there minds like we change their nappies so maybe try a few times.
This product is absurdly expensive for what it is, which is in effect one piece of lightweight mould injected foam, it really should cost about £10. The designers I should think now sit in adult size ones and swill champagne on a nightly basis because each bumbo comes in at around a whopping £30, and the tray is an extra tenner! But this high price hasn’t put a sole off; I can safely say that every baby I know has one of these.
The beauty of the product however is that you can feel extremely safe buying one second hand, all you need to do is give it an anti bacterial wipe all over and it is as good as new. These are built to last and there is no reason why you can’t use it in turn for all of your kiddies lend it to a friend and then still get a decent price for it on eBay.
I would strongly recommend buying one second hand via ebay as there really is no need to buy this product new.Second hand Bumbos on eBay
Second hand Bumbos with trays on eBayIf you do want a new one, listed at the top of the post are the best prices on the market at the moment with the cheapest at the top (prices include delivery, which is broken down in the brackets).

July 9th, 2009UncategorizedI discovered this product over on dooce, and should think it is probably one of the things a mum on a budget could live without…..it is called the ‘Munchkin Warm Glow Wipe Warmer’ (there’s a mouth fall).
Oooh the pure decadence of it, its right up there with those machines that dry your freshly painted fingers nails for the girlie’s who can’t be bothered to wave their hands in the air!A definite no for the essentials list…..although it did feel like torture putting a freezing wet wipe on my little-uns fresh newborn bum in the middle of winter, poor little love.

July 8th, 2009UncategorizedZara Home is full of gorgeous goodies, the products are beautiful, the patterns are spot on and the colours are exactly the right shade!
And low and behold their summer sale is on, lots of stunning items marked down quite substantially, I bought a fair bit of grown up goodies and spotted these lovely babe bits.

This melamine set, which also comes in another 5 shades is such a beautiful shade, and not covered in teddies, bunnies or fairies like lots of the other kiddy plates around. So before my little-un is begging for bob the builder or iggle piggle he is having this rather stylish cutlery set picked by moi.
Items individually priced, ranging from £1 to £4, all marked down in the sale.
I also found this delightful quilt, unfortunately I don’t have a little princess to buy it for, and whilst on a budget I can’t really justify buying bits for children I ha vent had yet!Measures 100×120cm.Now £29.00, was £55.90
