Time and time again you hear of businesses that are set up out of necessity, where the founder has encountered a situation and there has been no service available to meet their needs.  Unfortunately the niche that I have found involves an awful lot of work for currently no financial reward (maybe there is a reason that no-one has done this before?!?!?!) 

The problem that I encountered was thus: when I became pregnant I wanted to be prepared for when my bundle of joy came along,  I needed to find out exactly what bits of kit I would need to help make everything as easy, fun and safe for babe and I as possible. But what I encountered was a completely fragmented, overwhelming, contradictory and scary new world. 

There are your elders who insist that everything is different now and that the way they did everything makes much more sense, there are the midwives, the health visitors, doctors, baby manual authors and various other professionals who’s views on matters all contradict each other, and then there are the retailers who try to petrify you into buying their products.  On top of all of that when you find a product that you can finally settle on the search engines and comparison sites that you previously relied on are absolutely useless in this area. 

I think it is impossible for you to find the best price for a product on these sites and time and time again for each new item I wanted to buy I would spend an hour or two searching manually through the web myself.  So I thought I would put these wasted hours of mine to use for the masses and show you my searches so that we don’t all have to spend half of our lives looking for 50p off the latest breast pump! 

When I had my little one and things started to settle down (relatively speaking) I began to feel very angry towards all of the big baby retailers and producers, that had single handily fed me a load of twaddle about what I would need to cope with my baby.  The truth is that you need extremely little, and when you think about it 800 years ago they managed ok without a machine that warmed baby wipes (can you believe it!).
